Miesha Theresa Tate is an American mixed-martial artist. Her birth date was August 18, 1986. Tate is currently competing in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) which she was a previous UFC Women's Bantamweight champion. Tate previously competed for Strikeforce where she is a former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. She was also the vice-president of ONE Championship. In October 2022, she was 10 in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings.



 



 Early life



 Tate was born in the Seattle suburb Tacoma, Washington, to Michelle Tate, and was raised by Michelle and her husband Robert Schmidt. As a child Tate would often hang out with the boys of her neighborhood at the playgrounds.
